Brenda Rabalais received her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Florida State University. She serves as both an adult therapist and Executive Director of Lee’s Place. As President and Founder, she manages the policies and procedures as well as daily operations of Lee’s Place. Brenda is one of our adult therapy staff members, and oversees all clinical services.

Karen Lockard, LCSW, has over 32 years working with children and families in differing capacities.  She began her professional career as an elementary school teacher for Leon County Schools where she taught for 10 years.  After receiving her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work in 1993, Ms. Lockard worked for 8 years as a forensic interviewer for the Child Protection Team of Children’s Medical Services to assess allegations of abuse and neglect. She is a full time therapist at Lee’s Place and an adjunct instructor at Florida State University College of Social Work. She specializes in grief, loss, and trauma in children and young adults.


Beth Tedio is Director of Development for Lee’s Place . Beth and her husband, Fred, have owned and operated Uptown Café and Catering since 1990. They have two grown sons, one of whom is the manager of the Café. With her son and husband running the family business Beth has been serving on many nonprofit boards as well as being very involved with Rotary in northwest Florida.  Their older son is married, living in south Florida with his beautiful wife, and they have Beth and Fred’s two granddaughters. Her Lee’s Place duties include updates to the website, event planning, Grant writing, volunteer coordinator, PR and marketing, and all areas of support for the therapists.

Catherine Shoultz has been volunteering for Lee’s Place for several years, and joined the staff in Winter 2105 as part-time bookkeeper. Catherine is retired form the City of Tallahassee. She rescues dogs, travels, reads, and knits in her spare time.
