The staff at Lee's Place provides educational outreach to schools, community groups and professional organizations on a variety of loss issues and coping strategies. We offer crisis intervention or debriefings at school or the workplace when there is a traumatic occurrence, i.e., a death or suicide.

Fees for counseling services are determined by a sliding fee scale based on family income and number of dependents that ranges from $10 to $100 per session.

Free Therapy for Crime Victims

We have recently been awarded a grant from the Department of Justice to provide therapy for victims of crime.  This grant is the result of the Victims of Crime Act, enacted in 1984, which provides federal funding to assist state, local and private nonprofit agencies who provide direct services to crime victims.

Lee’s Place is providing free individual therapy by licensed and experienced therapists for adults molested as children, survivors of homicide victims and any adults who have experienced adult sexual assault, robbery or assault.  The crimes do not have to have been reported to law enforcement and there is no time limit on when the crime occurred.

With individual therapy, victims can express emotions created by the traumatic event in a safe and nurturing environment.  They can learn coping skills and regain the equilibrium they lost as a result of the crime.

If you would like an appointment or need further information, please call one of the therapists at 850-841-7733. As the grant only covers a limited number of sessions, please call as soon as possible to ensure that we can see you at no cost.
